Heard of the Big Country? Well Pembrokeshire's the opposite - a small country! Consequently, it doesn't really matter where you stay, for you can drive from North to South in under an hour. The far south of the County gets a lot more crowded in the Summer months, so we recommend that you consider staying in North Pembs or if you are set on the south, the small towns & villages around the old "Landsker line" (Roughly, the route of the modern A40).

Many of the well known tourist attractions are in the South, but if its the natural world you seek, then the North Coast and the Preseli Hills abound with wild life. The islands of Grassholm, Ramsey and Skomer, in particular, are a paradise for bird lovers. Walking the Coastal Path or the gentle slopes of the Preseli Hills should appeal to all those who are ramblers at heart.
